From our Coordinator of Volunteers and Client Services:
"We have learned so much through the years about what it means to provide care
to an individual or family. Caring means to make someone feel loved and
appreciated, to boost self worth. The care
our complementary care
professionals bring does just that."
Complementary care "complements" conventional medical care
It does not replace conventional medical care
Examples of complementary therapies practiced in our area include massage,
Reiki, therapeutic touch, polarity therapy, essential oils, guided imagery
meditation, Passage meditation, manicures and pedicures, hair care, gentle Yoga
stretches,
music and art therapy, pet therapy, T'ai Chi Chih, Qi Gong, Trigger Point
therapy, craniosacral therapy, reflexology, progressive physical
relaxation
